Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13
The CCNL Men’s Ministry seeks to strengthen the men of our church to be effective leaders in their homes, church, and communities. Proverbs 27:17 states “As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”
We see three ways that this can be accomplished:
Mutual Benefit: When two iron blades rub together, their edges sharpen, making them more effective.
Similarly, the Word of God can sharpen people through discussion.
Fulfilling the Law of Christ: Iron sharpening iron can be a way to fulfill the Law of Christ,
such as by sharing burdens and lamenting over sin.
Growing Stronger: Our theme verse communicates the idea that people grow stronger
when surrounded by others who are strong.
Practically, we seek to build up the men in our fellowship through weekly men’s Bible study, monthly prayer breakfasts, periodic retreats and conferences, and coming alongside the brothers in our church with practical needs.
Our Men's Ministry is overseen by Nate Glasscock, assisted by Rich Streeter.
